The manufacturer of cable trays and cable bus systems plans to expand its operations in Greenville County to include building a new facility in Mauldin.

Officials with MP Husky said the company plans to build a 150,000-square-foot facility at 1400 Old Stage Road in Mauldin and create 50 new jobs.

“A primary company goal has always been to provide jobs in the Upstate,” said Dusty Henry, president of MP Husky, in a news release from the S.C. Department of Commerce announcing the expansion. “This investment will allow MP Husky to bring more employment opportunities, and we are looking forward to many years of continued growth at this new facility in Mauldin.”

“This project showcases the accomplishments of our state, county and city working in unison to bring investment to a site that is a S.C. Department of Commerce certified site,” said Dennis Raines, mayor of Mauldin, in the release. “We are proud to have MP Husky as Mauldin's newest industry.”
