Mauldin Police Officer Credited with Saving Infant

Posted by George 03/18/2016

On Monday Night, 3/14/2016, Officer Taylor Hudson was dispatched to an apartment in Mauldin for a call of an infant who was non-responsive and in possible cardiac arrest. Upon arrival, Officer Hudson observed the infant laying on the floor and after checking for signs of life began CPR until Mauldin Fire and Greenville County EMS could arrive. Upon fire and EMS arrival, the infant was breathing and was transported to the hospital for further medical observation.

Officer Taylor Hudson, who is a life long resident of Mauldin, started with the Police Department in January 2015. Prior to joining our team, Officer Hudson played football for our own Mauldin Mavericks and then continued his sports career with East Carolina University. In 2014 Officer Hudson was awarded the AAC All-Conference 1st Team Offense award for his performance at Center/Line positions for the ECU Pirates.

We are glad to have him back home in Mauldin, and playing for our team!
