Friday, September 20, 2013 - Saturday, September 21, 2013
Mauldin Cultural Center
Come out and sample 20 unique BBQ flavors from Cookers across the State and Southeast. A fun-filled, family-friendly festival, the Mauldin BBQ Cook-Off also features a dedicated children's area and live music.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 | 6pm - 10pm
It all starts Friday, September 20 with a performance just for kids at 6:30pm from "The Learning Station" and continues through with live music by Asheville-based bluegrass group Underhill Rose from 7:30-10pm. Participate in our first-ever "Anything Butt" competition - giving Cookers the opportunity to showcase their non-BBQ skills and serve up something truly unique - plates range from $3-5 depending on what the Cooker creates!
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 | 10am - 4pm
Saturday features our main event - the BBQ Cook-Off. Grab a Tasting Pass for $10 and enjoy UNLIMITED samples (2oz each) from each of our 20 Cookers. Pick up a lunch plate for $5 (chips + drink), or take home a pint of your favorite BBQ for $5. Cast your vote for your favorite Cooker with our People's Choice Award.
Bring the kids and enjoy another children's performance at 10am and a dedicated Kids Area with inflatables, face painting and the Fire Department's "Smoke House" all day long -- all for FREE! Enjoy your lunch in our Outdoor Amphitheater while you listen to local bands The Bad Popes (12pm) and InnFusion Jazz (2:30pm).
