Mauldin’s Office of Cultural Affairs Administrator Appointed to Statewide Arts Board

June 4, 2014 - George Patrick McLeer Jr, the administrator of the City of Mauldin's Office of Cultural Affairs, was recently named the 1st Vice President of the SC Arts Alliance.  The SCAA is the only statewide nonprofit organization focused on arts advocacy and technical training.  The organization promotes the arts at the local, state and federal levels in an effort to support funding for arts programs and grants, arts education, artist development, and public initiatives that include the arts.  The SCAA's membership stretches across the state to include arts organizations, educational institutions, businesses, and individuals.

 

The City of Mauldin's Office of Cultural Affairs  [OCA] supports artistic and cultural endeavors throughout the Mauldin community by providing opportunities for artists, citizens, and visitors, to experience, and expand their knowledge of the arts within the City of Mauldin, including management of the Mauldin Cultural Center.  The OCA has a primary focus on using the arts as a tool for economic development and quality of life enhancement.  We invite you to be a part of our mission by calling (864) 335-4862 or visiting www.mauldinculturalcenter.org.
