Administration

City Administrator

The City of Mauldin is currently seeking a City Administrator.   This position  performs high level administrative, technical and professional work in assisting the City Council in directing and supervising the administration of city government including finance, public works, judicial, business development services, community development, fire, police, human resources and recreation departments.  The City Administrator position works under the general supervision of City Council.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business management, political science or a closely related field, with a Master’s degree being highly preferred and seven (7) years experience as a City Administrator, Assistant City Administrator or Department Head in a municipality, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Fire & Rescue Department

Firefighter

The Mauldin Fire Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Firefighter. We currently have one open position and are also updating our hiring pool. 

Under supervision of the station officer, the firefighter will provide responsible work for the daily delivery of services such as fire suppression, emergency medical first response, fire prevention, pre-fire planning, technical rescue and hazardous materials response. The firefighter is responsible for participating in physical fitness and firefighter training with their assigned crew each shift. This person will assist their assigned crew in maintaining a competent level of operational readiness of their assigned station and department apparatus.

Wastewater/Sewer Technician

The City of Mauldin is currently accepting applications for Wastewater/Sewer technician.  

The main purpose of the position is to perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of the City’s Wastewater Collection/ Sewer Systems and to perform other technical duties as required. A candidate for this position should have a High School diploma/GED with 2 to 4 years experience working in a wastewater collection, sewer maintenance or plumbing related field.

Recreation Department

Camp Program Coordinator  |  Seasonal

The Camp Program Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the camp.  The incumbent assists with the development of quality programs in all camp areas.  The incumbent is also responsible for various administrative tasks, which may include creating supply lists supplies, coordinating schedules, and completing all necessary reports.

Summer Camp Counselor  |  Part Time/Seasonal, June 11- August 10, 2018

As a leader, role model, and hero to campers typically aged 5-12, the Summer Camp Counselor's primary responsibility is overall supervision. Ensure campers' well-being while making their camp experience as fun and rewarding as possible. Duties include monitoring meals, overseeing transitions to and from scheduled events and lessons, and facilitating and participating in group activities. The ideal candidate will be an excellent multitasker with a genuine passion for working with and empowering young people. Applicants should be patient, fun-loving and confident in their ability to motivate and assist campers in everything from learning new skills to having fun!
