Fire & Rescue Department


The Mauldin Fire Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Firefighter. We currently have one open position and are also updating our hiring pool. 

Under supervision of the station officer, the firefighter will provide responsible work for the daily delivery of services such as fire suppression, emergency medical first response, fire prevention, pre-fire planning, technical rescue and hazardous materials response. The firefighter is responsible for participating in physical fitness and firefighter training with their assigned crew each shift. This person will assist their assigned crew in maintaining a competent level of operational readiness of their assigned station and department apparatus.

Wastewater/Sewer Technician

The City of Mauldin is currently accepting applications for Wastewater/Sewer technician.  

The main purpose of the position is to perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of the City’s Wastewater Collection/ Sewer Systems and to perform other technical duties as required. A candidate for this position should have a High School diploma/GED with 2 to 4 years experience working in a wastewater collection, sewer maintenance or plumbing related field.

Assistant Program and Athletic Coordinator

Pay rate: $12.50-18.50/hour.  The Assistant Program and Athletic Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Program and Athletic Coordinator in managing recreational activities for the department. Work includes scheduling and implementing sports programs and activities; supervising seasonal staff; coordinating games and events; and providing information and assistance to the public regarding recreation programs.

Yoga Instructor

The role of a yoga instructor is to guide students through yoga positions and breathing techniques and ensure a safe environment for those in attendance. We are looking for yoga instructors who are passionate about helping students learn yoga and who love to lead students through exercises that help improve well-being. Applicants should hold appropriate yoga credentials and be able to take students through cohesive yoga sequences, choose appropriate music, effectively correct form, and more.

Sports Center Fitness Floor Monitor

We are seeking a part­‐time Fitness Floor Staff Member to join our team. As a fitness floor monitor, you will supervise the fitness floor and assist members in using safe and effective exercise form during their workouts, enforce Mauldin Sports Center policies, maintain daily logs of equipment maintenance and cleaning and schedules, monitor the fitness floor, assist members, keep locker rooms, track, gymnasium, and group exercise room clean and organize, and more. Sports Center Fit Kids Staff Member

We are seeking a part-time Fit Kids Staff Member to join our team. As our new Fit Kids Team Member you will perform exercise/fitness related activities with children toilet trained to 14 years of age., encourage and motivate children to achieve their best benefit from exercise program that you perform with them, perform other duties consistent with daily operation of the Sports Center, and more. Must be available some weekdays 8am-12pm, some Saturdays 8am-12pm and one Friday per month 5:45pm-10:15pm for our Parents night out program.
