Judicial Department

Associate Judge

The City of Mauldin is currently accepting applications for the position of Associate Judge.  This is a part-time, fill-in position which requires flexible availability.  The successful candidate must possess a law degree, be in good standing with the South Carolina Bar, and be willing to participate in a two week mandatory training within one year of being appointed.  This position entails presiding over Municipal Court Bench Trials, Jury Trials, and Preliminary Hearings in the Chief Trial Judge’s absence.  Additionally, this position may require weekend and holiday hours to conduct bond hearings.  Applications may be submitted to the Mauldin City Hall Human Resources Department on the second floor or emailed to the Judicial Department Head at Judgeangelamartin@yahoo.com by July 1, 2017.

Recreation Department

Part Time Senior Center Employee

The Ray Hopkins Mauldin Senior Center is currently accepting applications for a part time employee to help with all facets of the senior program.  Tasks include setting up rooms for the days activities, answering phones and providing customer service to senior adults, driving vans of adults to functions in the day and some evenings.  The position has constant contact with senior adults as well as service providers and administration.  The majority of hours will be day time but one can expect to work two to four nights a month.  A candidate for this position should have basic computer knowledge of Publisher, Excel, Word and/or Works.

Recreation Director

The City of Mauldin is seeking a Recreation Director. This position is responsible for the administration of all recreation programs. Recreation programs include special events, gym and fitness programming, senior programs, youth programs and other programs as assigned. The position is also responsible for overseeing the city’s recreation facilities including the Senior Center, Sports Center, Parks and Recreation Fields.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Sports Administration or relevant field and five to seven years’ experience in a management position in a sport or recreational setting.

Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Fire & Rescue Department


The Mauldin Fire Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Firefighter. We currently have one open position and are also updating our hiring pool. 

Under supervision of the station officer, the firefighter will provide responsible work for the daily delivery of services such as fire suppression, emergency medical first response, fire prevention, pre-fire planning, technical rescue and hazardous materials response. The firefighter is responsible for participating in physical fitness and firefighter training with their assigned crew each shift. This person will assist their assigned crew in maintaining a competent level of operational readiness of their assigned station and department apparatus.

Public Works Department

Sewer Supervisor

The City of Mauldin is looking for an applicant whose job it will be to supervise crews, work on sewer projects in the city, and to perform other technical, administrative and supervisory work as required.
