Economic Development Department

Economic Development Planning Coordinator

The Economic Development and Planning Coordinator performs advanced level professional planning and technical assignments supporting the development occurring within the city and long-range and special projects/programs of the city.  This position requires the ability to apply professional knowledge and skills to various municipal economic development and planning issues and projects.  Responsibilities include analysis and the preparation of reports and plans in making recommendations and technical determinations.  The Economic Development and Planning Coordinator provides technical guidance and support, and acts as a policy advisor to the City Council, Planning Commission, City Administrator, Community Development Director and Business and Development Services Director.  The position is under the direction of the Community Development Director.

The successful candidate should have an Equivalent to a Bachelors Degree in City or Regional Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Public Administration, Urban Studies, Economics, Finance, Real Estate or a related field.  Eight (8) years of full-time, professional level work in economic development, planning, public administration or a related field that includes three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a lead or supervisory capacity, preferably in a local government setting;  or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Wastewater System Supervisor

The City of Mauldin is looking for an applicant whose job it will be to coordinate, supervise and perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of the City’s Wastewater Collection System and to perform other technical, administrative and supervisory work as required. This position works within broad policy and organizational guidelines and does independent planning and implementation, reporting progress of major activities through periodic reports, conferences and meetings.
