Comprehensive Plan

Every ten years, the City of Mauldin updates its Comprehensive Plan.  The Comprehensive Plan is a 20-year plan that forecasts population growth and assesses how this expected growth can best be accommodated. The plan addresses nine specific areas, as required by state law: population, housing, land use, natural resources, transportation, community facilities, cultural resources, economic development, and investment priorities. A complete update of the plan is required every 10 years, with a review every 5 years, to remain in compliance with the S.C. Comprehensive Planning Enabling Act.
