City Officials

The City of Mauldin has several official positions that are filled by appointments by the Mayor and City Council.

The Following are the appointed City Official positions and descriptions:

City Administrator – The City Administrator is appointed by the Mayor and City Council. The City Administrator directs and supervises the operation and administration of the city through his or her appointed Department Heads. The City Administrator also prepares the annual budget for the approval of City Council and is responsible for all functions of the city.

Municipal Clerk – The Municipal Clerk has many administrative responsibilities. Some of the duties include keeping minutes for all City Council meetings, giving notice of all public meetings, maintaining city records and archives, and other duties as requested by City Council.

Clerk of Court/Administrative Judge – The Clerk of Court is responsible for the overseeing the daily operations of Municipal Court.

City Judge – The City Judge hears all cases brought to the Municipal Court and then makes decisions on all cases.

City Attorney – The City Attorney is authorized to practice law and legally appointed to represent the City. He or She is responsible for assisting the Mayor, members of City Council, the City Administrator, and other staff in legal issues pertaining to the City of Mauldin.

City Prosecutor – The City Prosecutor is a licensed attorney who is responsible for prosecuting any cases on the behalf of the City of Mauldin.
