Business Licenses

A business license is required for every business located in or doing business in the City of Mauldin. Non-resident Business License renewals are due no later than January 1, and Resident Business License renewals are due no later than April 15.

Businesses currently licensed with the city will receive a renewal notice in the mail around the first of December.

Business License Ordinance

The Business License Ordinance document is very detailed and can answer many inquiries about obtaining a business license. Examples of topics explained in the Business License Ordinance include fee assessment, appeals, and classification.

If you are opening a new business in the city of Mauldin:

1. Complete the New Business Information Form
2. Prepare the unit to open for business. (Move all furniture and supplies in)
3. Call Deputy Fire Marshal at 864.289.8930 for a fire inspection.
4. Bring Inspection Order Form from the Fire Marshal along with the completed Business License Application to the Zoning and Building Department at Mauldin City Hall.
