Business Licenses
A business license is required for every business located in or doing business in the City of Mauldin. Non-resident Business License renewals are due not later than the first day of January, and Resident Business License renewals are due not later than the 15th day of April. Businesses currently licensed with the city will receive a renewal notice in the mail around the first of December.

Before you may purchase a business license, the following steps must be completed:
- Complete the 2009 New Business Information Form
- Purchase a Change of Tenant Permit. ($15.00) A Change of Tenant Permit is not required for new buildings.
- Purchase Permits for all construction. (If no work is to be completed skip to step 5)
- Call 864.289.8975 to arrange for inspections of all work.
- Prepare the unit to open for business. (Move all furniture and supplies in)
- Call Deputy Fire Marshal at 864.289.8930 for a fire inspection.
- Bring Inspection Order Form from the Fire Marshal along with the completed Business License Application to the Zoning and Building Department at Mauldin City Hall. At that time, your Certificate of Occupancy will be issued.
