Mauldin Legacy Book

History

In 1984 a group of citizens called the Mauldin Legacy Committee published a book about Mauldin’s history titled “Mauldin’s Legacy and Its People.” 

The authors are Mae Walker, Mary Forrester, Martha Clyde, Karen and Adam Fischer. The book is often referred to as the “Mauldin Legacy Book” and remains the primary source of historical information on the City of Mauldin. 

Included in the original manuscript is information about Mauldin’s early history, cemeteries, photos of families, organizations, churches, schools, communities, professionals and our local politicians. The book is truly a “Legacy” and was beautifully done by the original Legacy Book Committee.
